Perched above the bay, this modern Sausalito home was designed as a serene retreat for a family of six and their two black labs. The couple wanted a house that felt as calm as the ocean they love. A rooftop deck doubles as a yoga perch, while a cold plunge, hot tub, sauna and outdoor shower extend the wellness routines.

Inside, the palette is intentionally quiet—warm woods, layered textures and almost no color—to create a minimalist yet welcoming backdrop. Open gathering spaces flow naturally into private rooms for rest, balancing family life with pockets of retreat. Even the art tells the story: a bold Jasper Johns piece anchors the dining room, adding a singular jolt of energy to the otherwise tranquil interiors.

The result is a clean, modern, zen-inflected home that feels effortless, comfortable and deeply personal—exactly the kind of understated luxury that defines contemporary California living.
